The Silk We Choose
At House of Vaether, material is not a detail, it is a philosophy. Every piece is crafted exclusively from 6A Grade, 100% Pure Mulberry Silk, the highest classification of natural silk available.
This silk is produced from Bombyx mori silkworms fed solely on mulberry leaves, yielding fibers that are exceptionally long, uniform, and free from imperfections. The result is a fabric of remarkable luster, fluidity, and strength, silk in its most refined state.
Grade 6A represents the pinnacle of silk grading. It denotes fibers that meet the most stringent standards for fineness, consistency, and durability, with a smoothness and resilience reserved only for the finest luxury textiles.
Our silks are never blended. 100% Mulberry Silk ensures absolute purity, preserving the natural integrity, breathability, and sensorial qualities that true silk is known for.
Measured by Momme weight, a traditional indicator of silk density and quality, our silk is crafted at 16 Momme, offering a considered balance, substantial enough to drape beautifully and endure over time, yet light enough to remain supple, breathable, and luminous against the skin.
